Is the ‘Brahmastra’ Pre-release event cancelled due to no permission from the local Govt?

A source close to Etimes who was present at the venue says that the 'Brahmastra' pre-release event has been cancelled due to no permission from the local Govt. Local police are also clearing the crowds those gathered at the venue. The makers are now planning to conduct a press meet at a hotel in Hyderabad. Ace director SS.Rajamouli is presenting the film to the southern audience, while JrNTR was all set to grace the event as a chief guest.

‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’ is an upcoming fantasy adventure film written and directed by Bollywood filmmaker Ayan Mukherji. The film has been produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Namit Malhotra and Mukerji making his debut in film production.


The film is a three-part trilogy that tells the story of Astraverse, its own cinematic universe.

The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni playing pivotal roles in the film that was shot by a bunch of cinematographers V. Manikandan, Pankaj Kumar, Sudeep Chatterjee, Vikash Nowlakha and Patrick Duroux while its music was composed by Pritam and Simon Franglen. The film is edited by Prakash Kurup and released as a pan-India film in multiple languages simultaneously on 9th September 2022.
